Preparing for a Workshop with the DNA Web App

In this help article, we will guide you through the necessary steps to prepare for a workshop using the DNA Behavior platform.

Workshops provide a unique opportunity to bring people together, enhance their skills and knowledge, and ultimately drive positive change.

At DNA Behavior, we are committed to helping consultants prepare for and execute successful workshops that deliver real value to their clients. Our platform provides a powerful suite of tools and resources to help you assess your participants' behavioral tendencies and communication styles, gain insights into team dynamics, and develop strategies for improving performance.

In this help article, we will guide you through the necessary steps to prepare for a workshop using the DNA Behavior platform. From creating a list of participants and generating a self-registration link to monitoring completions and generating team reports, we've got you covered. By following our guidelines, you can ensure that your workshop is a success and that your participants leave with the insights and tools they need to thrive.

Prepare the list of participants you wish to invite to your workshop.

Before you start, it's essential to have a list of participants you want to invite to your workshop. Make sure that you have their email addresses handy, as you'll need to email them the self-registration link later on.

Create a tag in the DNA Web App for your workshop.

Creating a tag for your workshop is essential to help you organize and identify your participants quickly. Tags are used to group and filter users based on specific criteria, so it's easy to generate reports and analyze data. To create a tag, please refer to the following knowledge base article or watch the video below:

Create a self-registration link for your workshop.

Once you have created the tag, you'll need to create a self-registration link for your participants. A self-registration link is a unique URL that you can send to your participants, allowing them to complete the assessment, and automatically be tagged as a participant for the workshop. When they finish, their results will automatically be saved to your DNA Behavior account.

Email the participants your self-registration link.

After creating your self-registration link, it's time to send it to your participants. We recommend sending them an email that explains the purpose of the assessment, why you chose to use DNA Behavior, and instructions on how to complete the assessment. Here is a sample email that you can use as a starting point:

Dear [Participant's Name],

I am excited to invite you to participate in our upcoming workshop! As part of our preparation for the workshop, we are using DNA Behavior, a powerful behavioral discovery tool, to gain insights into how we can work together more effectively.

To complete the assessment, please follow this link: [insert self-registration link here]. You will be asked to answer a series of questions that will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Once you have finished, you will receive a personalized report that provides insights into your behavioral tendencies and communication style.

Please make sure to complete the assessment before the workshop so that we can have a productive and insightful session. To make our time together efficient, I recommend you save this report on your device or print it out and bring a physical copy to the workshop. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

[Your Name]

Monitor your email for completions.

As participants complete the assessment, you will receive email alerts notifying you of their progress. Be sure to monitor your email for these alerts so that you can keep track of who has completed the assessment and who hasn't.

These email alerts can be sent to any named user (labeled as Advisor, Coach, Consultant, or Leader in your account). This person will receive the email alerts, which will come in handy later on as you are evaluating who has completed the discovery and who needs a little nudging.

Send reminders to individuals that still have not completed your email.

If you notice that some participants have not yet completed the assessment, it's a good idea to send them a friendly reminder. Here is a sample email that you can use:

Dear [Participant's Name],

I wanted to remind you to complete the DNA Behavior assessment that we sent you a few days ago. The assessment is an essential part of our preparation for the workshop, and we value your input.

Please follow this link to complete the assessment: [insert self-registration link here]. It should only take about 10 minutes to complete. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to seeing you at the workshop.

Best regards,

[Your Name]

Generate a Team Report for everyone you have invited.

After your participants have completed their assessments and you have monitored completions, it's time to generate a Team Report for your workshop. The Team Report provides an overview of the group's behavioral tendencies, communication styles, and potential blind spots. This report is an invaluable tool for identifying areas of strength and weakness within the team and developing strategies to improve performance.

To generate a Team Report, simply login to the DNA Behavior platform and navigate to the User page. From here, you can filter the user list based on the Tag you created in Step 2. Select everyone with the relevant tag. As you choose each person, our system starts to build out a team report for you.  The platform will generate a comprehensive report that you can use to guide your workshop and enhance your participants' learning experience.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your workshop is a success and that your participants leave with a deep understanding of their behavioral tendencies and communication styles. If you have any questions or issues with the process, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team for assistance.

Individual Reports:

Do you want each person to bring their own report with them to the workshop? You can suggest they do so in the emails, but if they forget, you can generate a report for them if you bring your device along to the event. You can generate their Participant Report and Factor and Subfactor Report directly from your account in the DNA Web App. Review the following articles on how to access these two reports:
