Why Am I Seeing “User Already Exists”? (GoDNA Sign Up Issue)

You will see this error if your email is already linked to an existing DNA Behavior account.

What this means

If you see:

“User already exists. Please try another email.”

It means That email has already been used with DNA Behavior before.


Why this is happening

You’re trying to sign up with an email that already exists in our system.

This can happen if:

  • You’ve used DNA Behavior before
  • You had an account in the past (even if it was canceled)
  • You signed up earlier using the same email

Even if your account is no longer active, the email is still registered.


How to fix it

You have 2 simple options:

Option 1. Use a slightly modified email

You can create a variation of your email by adding a “+”.

Example:

Your email:

john.doe@company.com

Use this instead:

john.doe+godna@company.com
 
or:

john.doe+1@company.com
 
  • You’ll still receive emails in your regular inbox

  • No need to create a new email account


Option 2. Contact support (for existing users)

If you have used GoDNA before and want to continue with the same email:

Contact us at:

DNACare@dnabehavior.com

  • Reactivate your account
  • Help you regain access
  • Update your email if needed

Common questions

Will I lose anything if I use +godna or +1?

No. It works like your normal email, and messages will still come to your main inbox.

Is this a bug?

No. This happens when an email is already associated with an account.
